Action and calmness - One all-round photoshoot please!


After many years and travels together it was time to capture their bond: When Silja planned her photoshoot a few months back she knew exactly what she wanted: A training insight into her jumping with her warmblood gelding Lucky in spring. And then we expanded the shoot a little bit :-) We added portraits, of Lucky alone and of the two of them together, and also some free running pictures on the field.


It is always my highest goal to fulfill your wishes and ideas, but also to add as much as possible additional frames, for you to keep as memories. Why limit ourselves, when we can have much more! In this case it came in handy, that I don't put time limits on my photo shoots. This way we could start with portraits, so we don't have a sweaty horse on these pictures, but Silja still had enough time to warm up before the riding pictures.


What I especially love, is when customers come with their own ideas to implement in the shoot. "Anna, I saw these close ups you do at the western shows, when the horse is in movement. Do you think we can do something like that while I am jumping?" Say no more! I already have a frame in mind! Personally, I think it's amazing when we together create the outcome of the session and when you come with lots of ideas yourself! It is perfectly fine to rely on my creative vision and trust the process, but I am always more than open for a brainstorming and ad-hoc ideas.


Danish spring delivered a fabulous scenery and on the fields of the farm Kumlegaard near Roskilde we had a beautiful variety of backdrops. From lush fields to wild forests and spring flowers, we only had to walk a few steps and could create so many different pictures! Another great plus-point for a photoshoot in spring, especially for riding pictures: Comfortable temperatures and no flies!


The outcome is a gallery every horse girl dreams of. Plans for prints are in the making and I can't wait to see the end result! Thank you, Silja, for your trust and I can't wait to follow you and Lucky's journey further!
